Henrik's summer scrapbook

Tomorrow Henri and Lili's school has open house, and we find out their new teachers for the upcoming year. We have loved both of their classes this past year--so we have mixed emotion about next year. Henri's class put together a scrapbook from the summer--her are the pics and art that is included. It is a very sweet memory:

Disney...

Thankfully, we have annual passes to Disney. For our kids....this is their weekend hobby. :) Here are a few shots from the Celebrate You parade....their favorite part of the park. :)

3 year old boys....

Some days....I can't wait for Henri to be out of the threes. He is obsessed with the potty, undies, pooping, all good now that we are out of diapers....but sometimes...such a pain.

Yesterday, Lili was playing with her Tiana doll....was taking off its dress, and I asked, "why are you doing that?" Henri chimed in...."so I can see her booty."

Henri in 40 years???

We watch and follow a chef named Marcus Samuelsson. He was born in Ethiopia, adopted by a family from Sweden, and now lives in NYC. I am reading his autobiography, and there was a recent article on him in the Times. He is from the same region of Ethiopia as Henri and Lili. When a work colleague saw the article--she thought Marcus' 4-year old photo looks just like our Henri. :) Of course...we agree. Especially before we cut his hair.

Gymnastics

We have been looking for a place Henri and Lili could exhaust some energy. Our first gymnastic outing was not so great--but Saturday we went to a real gym--complete with tons of equipment and the kids were in heaven! Apologies for the blurry shots. I was a long way away--the best I could do.
