Twins?

I can't tell you how many times we are asked if Henri and Lili are twins...especially now that Lili has caught up with Henri in height. We just took Lili to the doctor for her well-check and thought it would be fun to compare their growth charts. Here we go:

6 month:
Henri: 18 lbs., 26 1/4 inches
Lili: 14 lbs., 24 1/2 inches

9 month:
Henri: 20 lbs. 2.5 oz., 28 inches
Lili: 17 lbs. 10.5 oz, 28 inches

12 month:
Henri: 23 lbs. 11oz, 30 1/4 inches
Lili: 20 lbs. 14 oz, 28 3/4 inches

15 month:
Henri: 25 lbs. 4.5 oz, 31 inches
Lili: 22 lbs. 7.5 oz, 31 inches

18 month:
Lili: 25 lbs, 32 inches

I have to pull out Henri's 18 and 24 month checks and will keep tracking from here out. Crazy, isn't it? Almost twins! :)

Major Potty News....

For the past few months, we have been sitting Henri on the toilet before his bath. There were a few times, where he would tinkle a bit....but nothing regular or substantial. Tonight (after two days in his new classroom at school--where he is one of the few that isn't potty trained), Henri said he wanted to sit on the potty....and he did it! We are so proud....here he is...note the excessive amount of toilet paper. Yikes.

Lili loves to help....she's also great with the toilet paper.....

So proud...Henri's our big boy!

More to come soon....have a great week!

Bath time wave pool...

Sometimes....our bathroom can be a bit of a splash park at bath time. We don't encourage....but sometimes...we choose our battles. Here are Henri and Lili....laughing as they made waves in the tub. Enjoy!

Disney weekend...

As one of our last hurrahs of the summer....we spent the weekend enjoying the parks. We had planned on spending the entire weekend at the pool...but took one evening to enjoy the Magic Kingdom, too. Of course....the boats, trains, and buses are all in one place...so Disney is Henri's perfect dream.

Here we are on the choo-choo train at the front of the park....

So excited to be riding the train.....

Look at those faces.....

Lili is very animated right now. Here she is, showing her dad her frankenstein face. :)

Henri (continuing with his boat obsession) decided a practical toy to bring to Disney, is Nick's old Little People boat. It doesn't look that awkward...it's not terribly big....but....it does weigh about two pounds. :) Didn't stop Henri....

With the boat....on the boat. Here we are on Small World....

Captivated!

Here is Lili...showing me her "happy" face. Not sure where she learned this....but if you ask her to show you her happy face....this is what you get.

On the people mover....another train. So exciting!

We usually don't spend the entire evening at the Parks....this was an exception. Here are our two little ones....holding hands. :) Very sweet.

Shocking....they were still friends the next morning. Modeling their new hats (the sun was intense!)....still holding hands.

Getting ready to hit the pool!

Henri and his Mickey hat...

Sweet little Minnie....

The sign of a great weekend....crashed in the stroller after a full day of swimming.

More posts to come....hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer....

Trains and boats.....

It was an exciting weekend at our house. On Friday--I drove to Tampa for work. Jeff came home around 3 pm to find our house had been broken into. :( The good news--they were very kind and didn't destroy our house. Also--everything taken is replaceable--and thankfully no one was home. The downfall--we saved a ton of photos from the last week on Jeff's computer. We'll see if we can get additional copies--a bummer to lose them--but it could be much, much worse.

So....we went to Magic Kingdom today to get away. :) It's hot here. Really hot. But, we still had fun sweating our way through the park. Here are a few pics from the day.

I made a totally rookie parent move and told Henri that after his nap we would go see Mickey. Needless to say, two hours later he was up, running into our room saying, "Mickey mouse??"

He's still obsessed with trains so we started off our day on the train. Lili found a sticker--our forehead is apparently where they go. :)

Our sweet toots.....

Henri had a great time....

He kept pointing out everything we should see....

Waiting at the first stop.....

Bad news....a fear of lightning stopped our journey. Because we left our stroller at the first stop---we were given a loner to get back to the front of the park. Made us realize why we use our own stroller at the park.

Trying to find entertainment for both kids....we happened upon the street party...Lili was thrilled.

Here she is...joining in the fun...

Our little dancer....

On to the boats...small world...here we come!

Waiting for the boat....

Silly Lili.....

She is so friendly....

Saying hi to the crowd.....

On the boat! Henri could hardly stand it....

Here we go.....

Wow....

The fun begins.....

Dancing to "it's a small world".....

It's amazing how with kids...two rides...and it's time to head home. Luckily we avoided the melt-down--and only had to spend $10 on a balloon as bribery. :) I'll post more pics soon...have a great week!

More Montana....we can't get enough....

After the Rude family reunion...we moved over to the other side of the lake and spent time at our Fleharty/Sharkey family cabins. The weather was fabulous...cool in the morning and evening...and hot during the day. Here we are...relaxing by the lake: Henri, Kara, Kallie, Gail, Kristin, Carol.

Definitely the highlight of the week, was Henri and the boat. It started out as "Grandpa's boat" but by day three...it was "my boat." He still talks about the boat. Look at his smile!

Henri (and often Lili) spent most of their time on the boat. Here they are...breakfast with grandpa and the boat.

The driving challenge....

Lili would fall asleep as soon as the boat started to move. The waves...rocked her right to sleep for a quick little cat-nap.

Emma...reading....

Playing with cousin, Dillon, and the motion-activated sprinkler. A riot to watch!

More boat....

"Fishing" with a super-soaker as his pole. :)

What beautiful country.....

This was a frequent site...usually with a little arm in the air...waving "bye..."

Ah...going fast in the boat....

So fun!

A trip to cousin Karla's elk and bison farm....

Trying to feed the elk some baby apples....

A serious Henri...

Yum....yikes....

So beautiful....buffalo in the background....

More elk....

Dad and his sisters...Auntie Dimpy, Auntie Lois, Auntie Lou and Dad.

Me and Henri.....

Dreaming of owning a condo on the lake. Cousin Carol (aka Cookie), Auntie Lou and mom...helping me dream!

The Idle Spur. Who would have thought....the Fleaburger girls with mom. Karaoke singers always need an alias. :)

Oh yeah.....

The beauty of MT...everything goes at the Idle Spur....

Partying with the Aunties....

Our last morning away....just in time for Henri to learn this....

Wow....

Back to Missoula...Lili modeling one of Auntie Lou's sweet dresses.

Henri and Lili....

Swing swing, swing swing swing....

Our favorite Fireman....Henri with the infamous hat...thanks Herr Graf!

Back to Orlando. Riding the "choo-choo" train back to the main terminal.

We thought strollers would be a good idea. Well...kind-of.

Back at home...happy to be back....

Two Ethiopians in a box....

Henri's imagination is running wild. Feeding his snake his discarded puffs...note the shoelace (aka pocket snake) on the ground next to his left hand....

Sweet Lili....

I"ll post more...I know there are some great shots...and great shots of other cousins that I haven't yet posted. But...at least a teaser for our time away. We already miss you all....love Montana!
