Happy Norwegian Name Day, Henrik!

Today is Henri's Norwegian Name Day. To celebrate....we took donut holes decorated with "H" stickers to school. Henri sang "Happy Birthday" to himself. :) And...asked to have to "cake" for dinner. :) Ha!

Our pumpkins at the pumpkin patch...

Jeff volunteered at our church pumpkin patch today. As we were picking up the kids....we decided today would be a great day to buy pumpkins. Henri loved climbing on the pumpkins, Lili...she wanted to buy all of the halloween lights in the tent. Thankfully....they weren't for sale. :)

Here is Henri...playing with the pumpkins....

He loved picking them up, putting them down, picking them up, putting them down....

Trying....

When he took this photo....I was leaning over him....but at a glance....it looks like he has blonde hair. Funny....

Lili sitting on the pumpkin seat....

And Henri....

Sweet Lili....

Loving the pumpkin patch. I think this one came home with us. Great.

Rolling back and forth....

Using my muscles...maybe this is the pumpkin that came home with us.....

Lili...aka....Frankenstein....

Laughing....

Look at those teeth!

A giant blow-up black cat. Thankfully....this was also....not for sale. :)

Sissy and mommy....

The picture of the day....I looked down...and here was sweet Lili. Comparing her tummy to the pumpkin. Funny, funny Lili.....

Will post more soon....

Concordia Homecoming

We spent last weekend back in MN for Concordia's Homecoming. It was mommy's 15 year reunion....and a great time for Henri and Lili to not only experience Fargo, but spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa.

Here is sweet Henri...eating his breakfast in the Orlando airport. Not sure Apple Jacks was the best choice for breakfast of champions....but he sure loves them!

We started off the weekend with the Homecoming parade. Here he is...Kernel....the Concordia Corn mascot.

Lili and Henri....waiting for candy.

Spending the morning with Grandma and Grandpa....

And dad....

Mommy and her roomies....Amie and Jill.

Fear the Ear!

We call this Ebony and Ivory....sweet Henri with Amie's sweet Ahna.

Sad. The house was in terrible shape when we lived there....but so disturbing to see it boarded up. Wonder if our sponge-painting survived.

The view from the front....

Wow. That says it all.....

Joe-Dog and the toots....

Paradiso! With Nellie, too. Ole!

After Homecoming worship....brunch at the Haugos.

The Kingdom Kids....well...a few of them...

Lili and her "shoes."

Roomies....Amie, Janelle, Jill, me...Nat and Sarah...next time....

Take two....

Henri on campus....

And sweet Lili in her cat coat...

Henri the Corn King. Good thing he ripped a piece of foam out of the hat in front of the bookstore manager....and we had the wonderful opportunity to pack that fabulous hat in our luggage and bring it all the way home to FL. Guess what Henri is going as for Halloween???

Swimming in the pirate pool.....

Henri and Lili....

Laughing with their dad....

Swimming with the Haugo clan....Matthew and Peder on the slide...

The fabulous pirate ship....

Bye-bye Fargo.

See you in five more years.....

Cat coat

We spent last weekend at Jeff's reunion in Valparaiso, IN. Since we don't frequently spend time in the fall/winter while it is cold....we were digging for clothes to keep everyone warm. My sister, Kristin, happened to find a coat of Emma's that she had packed away...just in case Kallie or I had a girl.

Luckily, she sent it to us....just in time to arrive before we left. Well....we thought it would be great....but....here was Lili's reaction. At first....she kept saying "cat, cat."

Then, she switched to "no, no."

Unfortunately, we never made it past the "No, no. Cat, cat" stage...and our trip came and went. Every day....we talked about the coat, tried to get Lili to try it on. No dice. Until tonight....one week later. Here she is....wearing the cat:

So sweet....she left it on for a good five minutes...

Happy Lili....

Giving mom and the cat coat a hug....

Thankfully....she has bonded with the cat just in time for the rest of the cold-weather season. Let's hope she wears it. :)

Today....the kids had school pictures....so last night....we practiced our best smiles. Here is Lili's happy face.

And....here is Henri's....

My happy girl! Fingers crossed their pictures turned out....

Will post more soon.....
