Disney Weekend

We love getting away...and love Disney. The perfect weekend away is celebrating at Disney. The pools are fab...and with the summer heat...it's such a treat to be somewhere else. Here are a few snaps from our weekend.

Here is Henri. This was our first time back in the pool, since ear tubes. Henri was a total fish. We put him in a life jacket and by day two he taught himself to doggie-paddle. He would go down the slide by himself, bob underwater at the end, swim to the edge of the pool, climb out, and do it all over again. It was amazing! He is such a natural athlete. We are taking applications for anyone who would like to help coach him--soccer, baseball, swimming, running. His non-athletic parents need help!

And little Lili...she also loved the water. But might love snacks more. :)

Getting so big!

Lili loves to play...here she is playing hide and seek.

And here is Henri...he was playing "bye-bye" carrying around his suitcase.

More "bye-bye"

The best part about our room...the view! Henri could watch the "choo-choo," bus, and big trucks all day. It was fabulous!

More splash park fun.

Henri getting a drink....gross.

Trying to stop the water with his toes.

Loving the water.

Here go the giggles.

On a walk with daddy.

Ah...Mickey.

The fantastic views!

And...the best part for mom and dad...when the kids slept...this is the view of fireworks from our balcony.

And...the sunset.

We'll post more pics soon....

Lili's Name Day!

Friday, May 20, was Lili's Norwegian name day. In honor of her special day...we decorated "L" cookies for her class, and scheduled a Disney get-away. (Those photos next.) Here are Lil's cookies:

And...our sweet girl, who is quite the character...peek-a-boo:

Here she is!

Happy Name Day, Lili!

Beef-a-roni

I am trying to be better about blogging. Now that I am hooked up on my iPad--hopefully this will help.

This morning...I took Henri and Lili to school. Henri was wearing black socks and black shoes. I loaded the kids in the car and headed off to school. We arrived, made it to the front office, walked inside and greeted Ms. Johnson. I was so proud to have Henri tell her about the "big truck" we saw--that I didn't notice the strange look on her face.

We go to walk to his class--and she says, "you know, Henrik only has one shoe on." Actually, I didn't know. The little skunk took one shoe off in the car--and I didn't even notice. He walked across the parking lot with one shoe. :) oh well.

For our sweet Lili, I saw another parent (while digging out Henri's shoe) who said that yesterday, he was picking up his daughters (they are twins) and he gave one a hug. Then he turned to give the other girl a hug. Lili came up and gave his daughter, also named Lily, a big hug. He said it was so sweet. They were in this long hug. Saying goodbye to each other. Sweet pre-two year olds. :)

Here are a few pics from tonight. Lili loves beefaroni. She loves it. It is so disgusting to watch her eat--it's everywhere. In anticipation of dinner, I took off her dress. Little did I know that she would decide to rub her forehead and hair with her sauce-laden hands. Fabulous.

While Lili ate--Henri played. Here he is playing with their kitchen set.

Here is the view from the other side of the play washer.

Hope you have a great weekend. We'll post more soon.

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day!

Hope everyone had a great day. We had an uneventful day--well--for most of the day. I woke up to Henri saying "happy, happy!" and walked downstairs to find my new mixer! Love love love. And...love Henri's present. So sweet.

We spent a relaxing day around the house. Here we are viewing pictures on the iPad.

Then...just as we were about to go for a walk--we had round two of Henri's head. He bumped his cut on the edge of the toy box--and started bleeding again. Just to be sure, we took him to the ER. All is fine...here he is in the hospital. Sweet Henri.

More to come soon. Have a great week!

Spring Pictures...

While we were home in Montana...we thought it would be a great idea to have photos of the Fleharty grandchildren taken. We took them to the mall...and thought...quick, easy...mom and dad will love having some new photos. Well...not so quick...and definitely not so easy. With the time change from FL to MT...our original appointment was right in the middle of Henri and Lili's nap. But because their schedule was off anyway...we thought it would be fine. Not fine.

We couldn't get either of them to even sit down...let alone pose for a photo. After 15 minutes of both kids screaming...we decided it wasn't worth it...and brought them home, to bring them back later in the day.

The kids napped...we thought...fabulous...they'll be rested and be fine. Not so much. We were able to salvage a few shots...here is a darling photo of Lili...what you don't see is my fingers at the bottom of the photo tickling her tummy. :)

We had two photos of Henri and Lili in the same frame. No matter how we tried to position them...standing, sitting...it just wasn't working. Look at Lili's giant crocodile tears!

Our handsome Henri...shocked this turned out at all...he's getting so big!

Again...a tearful Lili. It's so difficult to sit next to her brother...

My personal fave...the awkward grandchildren photo! Poor Emma did not know what to do...Henri had cried so much...that now he is M-A-D!! And Lili...she just wanted out. Not exactly the present we had planned for mom and dad...but fabulous none the less.
