Henri's first birthday

I can't believe our sweet baby boy is already a year old! We celebrated his birthday on the actual day, June 1, with a small party in the park near our home. Nothing fancy...pizza and cake...but Henri was able to do his favorite...play outside!

The great news about the party at the park...no clean-up at the house. Bad news...no air conditioning. It was so hot...the monkey's face melted off Henri's cake:

Getting ready for the action:

Lots of good wishes for our little one:

Yum...a gooey cake mess:

More of a mess:

So messy that nothing could be salvaged...had to be stripped to my onesie...where I then discovered the melting bag of ice on the ground:

My new favorite place to play...the water:

So happy splashing in that cool water:

While everyone else played on the slides:

Just in time to beat the rain:
Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet Henrik!

Our little Lili...

We have been a bit swamped these last few weeks. Jeff's graduation, company, and now we are heading out to bring our little Lili home. It will be a very quick trip--which we are glad because our little Henri is staying home. My mom is coming to keep Henri on schedule--despite all of the transitions over the past few weeks. Here are a few shots of our little Lili...the latest photos we have received...she is now almost 5 months old and weighs about 11 lbs. More to come...

Vintage Henri

Someone who saw our blog had pictures of Henri when they were picking up their child. Look at our sweet little Henri...and how much he has grown!

Henri at the hotel...

Henri is mobile...he's walking/running everywhere! This video is also from graduation weekend...so he's even more stable now. :) Thought I would share these few giggles from the beginning of May:

Graduation

The last few weeks have been crazy at our house. We found out Lili passed court on April 30th. A big day for our family...as we will soon be a family of four. :) After 2.5 years...Jeff completed the coursework for his Nurse Anesthesia degree...and will sit his boards in the next month or so...and start working. It's been a long road to transition careers...so glad that we are coming to the end of the school-road. Here are a few photos from graduation weekend--a great celebration.

Jeff's parents and grandparents met us in Miami for the big event. Jeff graduated from Barry University. His program was here in Orlando...but based out of the main campus in Miami.

Our proud graduate. He now has one of every degree. :)

Our family...soon to be expanding again...

After graduation in Miami, we came back to Orlando and spent a few days at the Polynesian Resort. It was a great way to relax after a long educational journey. :)Here are my two boys...enjoying their vacation.

Jeff's parents...and his sister, Kristin, and her family also joined at the resort. Here is their son, EJ, with Henri. He and Henri are just two months apart...

Henri loved the pool! Here Jeff and Henri are loving relaxing pool-side.

Kristin, Ed, Brayde and EJ stayed for a week:

Jeff's grandparents also joined in the fun for a few days:

Brayde and Henri loved playing together:

LaDonna also joined in the celebration. Here we are at Magic Kingdom:

We are back home...cleaning out to get ready for little Lili to arrive. I'll try and post more...when we have a chance...

A day in the park...

We've had a busy week with Henri. On Friday...he went to the doctor and we found out that he still has something in his chest...so we are now the proud owners of our very own nebulizer machine. I am about 99% certain that a mom was not on the product design team for a nebulizer. The instructions read..."do a quiet activity with your child during treatment." Ha! Ever tried to put a mask on an 11 month old...and then try to have them play quietly for 15 minutes? Not so much.

Despite the terrible design of having to hold a steaming plastic tube up to Henri's nose...I do think it is helping. He was coughing today...and his lungs are not nearly as rattle-sounding. We go back to the doctor on Tuesday...hopefully he'll have made a full recovery and will be feeling like a dream!

Jeff finished his last test Wednesday...now he has clinicals until Thursday...and then will have graduation next weekend. Can't believe we are coming to the end of the road in his career change...but are thrilled to be done. He still has to pass his boards...so the next few weeks will be dedicated to study, study, study.

Henri and I spent the afternoon outside. We took a long walk...and then went to Ce Fiore for a little frozen yogurt. Of course...I didn't pack anything for our walk...just a pack of wipes...since we tend to be a bit messy. Luckily...we were right across from Publix...because we had a level 9 blow-out...and needed to make a quick stop for diapers. :) After we were changed and clean...we walked back to the park. Here's a little video of Henri in the swings. I also tried to have him show his "Itsy Bitsy Spider" skills...I'll try again tomorrow. Too many distractions outside. :) Enjoy!
